Current Open Positions

Practis is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Senior Accountant to join our growing team.

This role will report directly to the VP of Finance and is responsible for a broad range of finance and accounting functions. They will perform overall accounting activities required for month, quarter, and year-end closing.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide support to VP of Finance and accounting department to perform a variety of duties such as maintaining general ledger, preparing financial reports, and reconciling accounts
  • Manage the month end close process, including compiling and analyzing financial reports
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with the financial integration of newly acquired companies
  • Support year end audit and tax requests.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes
  • Assist in documenting finance process and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly board reporting package
  • Ensure compliance with company internal controls, including documentation and testing of controls.
  • Liaise with teams across multiple departments and locations to obtain and distribute financial information
  • Support business needs in assisting with special projects, management reporting, and strategic analysis.
  • Review and monitor revenue recognition.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:

  • Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with strong attention to detail
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel as well as other Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M&A experience preferred
  • Experience working with private equity backed companies

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
